What I’ve Learned From Dog Grooming Videos on Social Media
One of my favorite parts of learning about professional dog grooming is watching educational grooming videos on social media. YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram have given me opportunities to watch other professional groomers work with many different dog breeds, coat types, behaviors, and grooming situations.
My favorite dog grooming YouTube channel is Girl With The Dogs. I especially enjoy watching the full-length grooming videos because they show more of the complete grooming process.
Watching her work with many different dog breeds has been very helpful for me. She is confident and skilled when handling dogs, and I have learned a lot by watching her techniques, patience, grooming process, and the way she works with different personalities and coat conditions.
One thing I really appreciate is how kind and patient she is with the dogs in her videos. Dog grooming is not only about making a dog look clean and beautiful. It is also about understanding behavior, keeping the dog comfortable, working safely, and knowing when a dog needs extra patience.
She is one of my favorite grooming vloggers, but I also follow many other professional groomers on social media. Every groomer has different experiences, techniques, and ways of working. Watching different groomers has helped me continue learning and developing my own skills.
Social media videos are a helpful educational resource for me, but they do not replace professional grooming education, hands-on training, safety guidelines, or real experience. I like to use them as another way to observe, learn, and keep improving.
